Guide Dogs Coffee Morning

During the morning of Saturday 12 April along with W. Bro Alastair Slade, I attended a Coffee Morning held at Camerton Community Hall run by the Bath & District Guide Dogs Fundraising Group.

There were quite a number dogs there; some still in training, others that have finished their time with a blind person and are now semi-retired as fundraising Ambassador dogs, and one fully retired black Labrador.

There was considerable interest that we as a Lodge sponsor puppy trainees. Our next one is going to be a female Golden Labrador called Clover for which payment will shortly be made.

As can be seen from the pics it was impossible to get the dogs all lined up. As they say, ‘ never work with animals and children’. Nevertheless, it was an enjoyable couple of hours.
