Royal British Legion Drop-In Centre
During the afternoon of Friday 14 June, the local Branch of the Royal British Legion opened their new Drop-in Centre at St John’s Church Hall in Midsomer Norton.
The Centre was formally opened by the Chair of Bath and North East Somerset Council, Councillor Karen Walker, assisted by Andrea Feeney, the Branch Vice Chair and Welfare Officer. Also present were Midsomer Norton Councillor Dr Cheryl Scott and the Rev Guy Scott, the Branch padre, who has kindly made the church hall available. The Centre will be open on a fortnightly basis offering a wide range of support services.
W. Bro Chris James, along with W. Bro Brian Parry and his wife Mary, had the pleasure of chatting with the RBL members, veterans and their friends over light refreshments, and browsing through some of the magazines and leaflets they had on show.
