St John Ambulance New Community Support Vehicle

Last year W. Bro Steve Collings completed his Arctic Challenge as a fundraiser for two Community Support Vehicles for the St John Ambulance, towards which we donated £500.

On Sunday 13 April, along with a goodly number of Somerset Masons and a Bristol WM, I represented the Lodge at the dedication and commissioning of the Bristol based Community Support Vehicle by HM Lord Lieutenant of Bristol, Mrs Peaches Golding OBE, at the Bristol HQ, hosted by VW Bro. Stuart Hadler in his capacity as County President for Bristol and Avon.

After the dedication we were shown around the vehicle following which we given a demonstration of CPR by one of the trainers, and the young Badgers confidently showed us their skills, as well as putting us through our paces by testing our knowledge and abilities.

The other vehicle is based in Taunton and was commissioned last weekend.
